The lead

Nobody is caught up. Not even the guy who posts about it daily.

Humans in the Loop is a small community in Dubai for people who work with AI. A handful of us, meeting on a Saturday afternoon to keep pace with it together, and to stay human while doing it.

A round table set for a dozen, chairs pulled in, the Dubai skyline through the window behind it.

A small gathering, not an event

No stage, no speakers, nobody sitting in an audience. Small enough that you are never waiting for a gap to talk, and small enough that people remember you the next time.

People who actually work with AI

Engineers, researchers, designers, technical PMs. Seniority is not the filter. A junior engineer shipping something real belongs here more than a director who read a report.

Whatever you found, bring it

Somebody always has a tool, a workflow or a way of working that quietly changed their week, and hearing it first hand beats reading about it later.

Not that kinda meetup

We're small on purpose

Dubai has an AI event most days of the week. Big room, free entry, a keynote on the future of work, and a sponsor who would love to show you their platform. You leave with a tote bag and nobody's number.

This one is kept small. Small enough that everyone gets heard, that nobody ends up as an audience. Somebody explains the thing you never got round to reading, somebody has the opposite opinion and a good reason for it, and you go home knowing something you did not know at four. Some of it is not useful at all, like whose backup plan is a farm and what everyone intends to do when the AI overlords arrive.

Small enough that if you do not turn up, it is noticed.

Almost everyone comes on their own and knows nobody when they walk in. That is the normal way to arrive. Come once and see whether these are your people.
